Atlanta  electronic pop duo Fader Vixen (Toniet Gallego and Jeremy Frank) are releasing their second album To the Core on April 28, 2012 through Fader Vixen Records. Physical copies will be for sale through the band’s own website and digitally through the usual online retailers.

Since forming in 2009, Fader Vixen has truly developed a signature sound that features Toniet’s moving vocals on top of moody drum beats, piano, and layered synths. To the Core is the follow up album to last year’s Transmitting Pulses and expands on the electronic and synth pop genres that Fader Vixen have been working in.

“Toniet and I had really worked out a lot of the bugs in our production process as a result of making Transmitting Pulses. We upgraded our studio a bit and honestly, I learned to work smarter instead of harder. I think that there is a hint of optimism that comes through as a result.” — Jeremy Frank.

“The experience of making To the Core was an escape from everyday life for me.  A lot of 2011 was a process of elimination–situations that weren’t working either emotionally and spiritually had to go. Getting into the studio and recording To the Core was therapeutic and a connection towards getting back with inner peace.” — Toniet Gallego

In addition to being musicians, Toniet and Jeremy are also indie film makers. Last year they participated in the 48 Hour Film Project, and they were producers on the short film “Survivor Type”, which will be showing at several film festivals around the country later this summer.
